Job summary

Jeffrey L Horstmyer MD PA in Miami, FL seeks a Neurology Front Desk Coordinator to manage front desk, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient flow in a busy private practice.

Requirements include bilingual English/Spanish, at least two years in a medical office, familiarity with ECW or Epic is a plus, and a friendly, reliable, detail-oriented approach. Competitive hourly pay, full benefits, and 401k are offered.

Qualifications

• Front desk experience in a doctor’s office or clinic.
• Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and their family/companions and checking them in for their appointment, collection of copays, deductibles & outstanding balances/ check out upon completion of the visit. Answering the phones to assist patients and providers.
• Registering new patients and ensuring that patient medical records, insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations are obtained before the appointment.
• Obtaining referrals & authorizations prior to neurology visits and medical records from PCP.
• Calling/ texting patients to confirm upcoming appointments, cancel or reschedule appointments.
• Provide referral information to patients & educate them about testing procedures.
