Job summary

Bethany Christian Services in Indianapolis is seeking a Transitional Foster Care Case Manager to help ensure safe, loving environments for refugee and immigrant children and youth in care. You will conduct trauma-focused intake within 24 hours, coordinate services, lead treatment teams, train foster parents, and maintain documentation while staying current with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, or a Social Services field from an accredited college.
• Bilingual English and Spanish, prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methodology of social work as acquired through a Bachelor’s level degree.
• Experience in child welfare or case management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete trauma-focused initial intake assessment within 24 hours of arrival.
• Ensure youth receive mandatory services (mental health, medical, educational, etc.) in accordance with program timelines.
• Maintain accurate and current information on foster children and documentation practices.
• Lead the treatment team in conjunction with the youth’s therapist.
• Attend weekly staff meetings with the treatment team and stakeholders.
• Attend and assist with ongoing education and support for foster parents.
• Coordinate with supervisor on case plans and progress.
• Translate communications for program clientele and staff if bilingual.
• Stay current with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.
