Axe Recruiting is seeking an Executive Assistant fluent in Mandarin and English to act as the founder’s right hand. The role includes live translation, outreach to senior academics and industry leaders, and intricate multi‑time‑zone logistics.
You will translate in real time, open doors with professors and leaders, and orchestrate fast‑moving travel and calendars with precision. This position requires travel, discretion, and a calm, proactive approach.
Qualifications
- Fluent Mandarin and English with on‑the‑spot interpreting capability.
- STEM bachelor’s degree or higher from a reputable university.
- Proven success securing meetings with hard‑to‑reach stakeholders (professors, lab heads, executives).
- Executive presence with high social intelligence and discretion.
- Comfort with frequent, extended travel and shifting hours; calm under pressure.
- Maintain confidentiality and data hygiene in sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Live Mandarin/English interpreting for meetings and written communications.
- Targeted outreach to secure meetings with senior academics/industry leaders.
- Calendar management across US/APAC time zones with rapid changes.
- Plan and re‑plan complex domestic/international itineraries; handle visas.
- Prepare briefs, agendas, and post‑meeting notes; ensure data hygiene.
- Craft concise, persuasive outreach and follow‑ups to sustain momentum.
