Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio through San Antonio Birth Doulas seeks a full-time doula to train, mentor, educate, and support new and expectant mothers and partners in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Services may occur in the office, at home, or at a clinic or hospital, with on-call responsibility for births.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English communication, credible doula training, and 2+ years in related fields; flexible hours and strict confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 1+ years related work experience.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Must have attended credible doula training with at least 1 year of birth/postpartum doula care experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve 3–4 assigned birth clients per month and/or extended postpartum clients.
• Maintain required documentation for each client (Charity Tracker, Birth Information sheet, Briteworks).
• Provide referrals for clients with specific needs via Community Health Worker.
• Be on call 24/7 to provide birth support services.
• Data entry within 2 business days from service or next working day.
• Attend continuing education to maintain current knowledge.
• Complete new client intakes, on/off-site as needed.
