Job summary

OlGcSTx is seeking a dedicated doula to support expectant families in the San Antonio area. You will create birth plans, provide prenatal/postpartum education, and offer labor, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding support across office, home visits, and clinic settings.

Responsibilities include client intake, documentation, referrals, and 24/7 on-call coverage. You will work with a team to ensure culturally competent care, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 1+ years related work experience.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Must have attended credible doula training and have birth/postpartum doula experience.

Responsibilities

• Must serve a minimum of 3–4 assigned birth clients per month and/or extended postpartum clientele as program needs.
• Maintain required documentation for each client using Charity Tracker, Birth Information sheet, and Briteworks.
• Identify clients with specific needs and provide referrals.
• Be on call 24/7 to provide labor and birth support.
• Data entry within 2 business days from service.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to trainings.
• Assist with teaching classes as approved by Supervisor or Program Director.
• Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA and Texas Medical Records Act.
• Comply with agency Code of Conduct and Faith and Moral Policy.
• Travel: 90% local, 10% overnight depending on birth situation.
