Job summary

CSL Tampa seeks a Pheresis Support Technician responsible for preparing the donor area and equipment for pheresis processors. You will monitor donors, respond to alarms, and disconnect donors after the procedure.

The role requires vigilance for donor reactions and accurate data recording using the PDA in the donor information system. The position emphasizes adherence to SOPs, health, safety and OSHA guidelines, with potential cross-training in other areas as needed and possible bilingual

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
Monitors the donor and pheresis process, responding to alarms or signals.
Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
Maintains awareness to donor reactions and notifies staff as needed.
Records incidents and donor data using a PDA in the electronic donor information system.
Links equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
Ensures accurate donor data entry per SOPs.
Maintains clean, safe work environment and adheres to HSE/OSHA policies.
May be cross-trained in other areas.
