Job summary

CSL in Huntsville, AL is seeking a donor center support technician responsible for preparing the autopheresis machine, donor area, and equipment for pheresis procedures. You will monitor the donor and process, responding to alarms and ensuring a safe, clean work environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 months in a medical setting; basic math skills; you will record incidents and donor data, follow SOPs, wear PPE, and may be cross-trained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Will perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reaction during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and link equipment to the donor in the donor information system.
• Maintain clean work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow all HSE/OSHA policies.
