Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of clinic, optometry, or dental office experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required at level 9.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs including Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone, transfer calls, and take messages for the clinic.
• Greet patients and maintain patient/visitor logs; provide translation as needed.
• Enter and maintain patient data; schedule appointments per guidelines; manage no-shows/cancellations.
• Verify insurance eligibility and file documentation; assist patients with plans questions.
• Process routine billing functions and reconcile cash at end of day.
• Manage referrals from inception to completion and recall communications.
• Prepare treatment plan estimates and collect upfront fees.
• Other duties as assigned.
