Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• One year of clinic, optometry or dental office experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required at level 9; ALTA score eligibility for differential compensation.

Responsibilities

• Answers the phone, transfers calls and takes messages for the clinic.
• Greets patients and maintains patient/visitor log; provides translation as needed.
• Ensures accurate patient data; creates and updates patient charts in the computer.
• Schedules appointments and notifies providers of no-shows or cancellations.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and answers questions about plans.
