Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Chicago is hiring a Full Time Customer Service Specialist at Store #3317 to assist wholesale and retail customers, answer questions, and recommend solutions. The role supports sales targets and requires handling, tinting, and stocking duties at the Oak Street area store.

Pay starts at $19.25 per hour. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, FSAs, disability, retirement, and generous time off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Internal to Sherwin-Williams: must have at least a “meets expectations” rating.
• Internal to Sherwin-Williams: must have completed HR Cloud eLearning courses.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and in line with policies.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store equipment.
• Load/unload delivery trucks.
• Assist in deliveries as needed.
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas.
• Remain knowledgeable on products and discuss options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
