Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to work with wholesale and retail customers, determine needs, answer questions, and recommend solutions. You will resolve concerns promptly and stay up-to-date with product features to ensure high-quality standards and strong sales performance in-store.

You will serve at multiple store locations including Lake Zurich, Palatine, and Hoffman Estates, with a full-time schedule and starting pay at $19.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have a 'meets expectations' rating on recent appraisal.
• Internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed HR Cloud eLearning courses.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and by phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and according to policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve sales goals monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store equipment.
• Load/unload delivery trucks.
• Assist in making deliveries as needed.
• Maintain in-stock and presentable conditions in assigned areas.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
