Wider Circle in Charleston, WV seeks a Bilingual Community Engagement Specialist to lead Connect For Life, engaging neighbors for better health and stronger community ties through events, home visits, and outreach.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in community outreach or facilitation, an Associate's degree (or 5+ years relevant experience in lieu of a degree) and is fluent in English and Spanish. This is mission-driven work with flexible options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in community outreach, teaching, or facilitation strongly preferred.
• Education: Associate's degree preferred; 5+ years of relevant experience may be considered instead of a degree.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Connect For Life program, virtual and in-person events and build a community of connected members.
• Plan, host virtual and in-person events, including venue search, prep and attendee outreach.
• Proactively contact members, conduct one-on-one home visits, and drive monthly engagement.
• Record member interactions and reporting through Wider Circle's digital systems.
• Identify and engage Wider Circle Ambassadors to support and grow communities.
• Connect with potential members and enroll them in the Connect For Life program via various outreach methods.
• Serve as a liaison to health plans and assist members with healthcare services and care gaps.
• Track hours and report activity for remote work; meet membership growth goals.
