Job summary

The Kovler Center, a Chicago-based program of Heartland Alliance International, seeks a Bilingual Case Manager for its SOT program. The role supports survivors through case management, benefits access, care coordination, and language-access services within a trauma-informed framework.

Responsibilities include documentation, referrals, and collaboration with interpreters and community partners to facilitate education, employment, and housing outcomes for participants and families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required, higher education valuable.
• Fluency in English and at least one program language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese) preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate case records following agency standards.
• Provide direct case management and coordination for SOT program participants.
• Explain and assist with public benefit applications (Medicaid, SNAP, childcare subsidies, housing).
• Coordinate referrals to health, legal, and social services; ensure language access.
• Provide interpretation support or coordinate interpreters as needed.
• Build relationships with community organizations serving immigrant and refugee communities.
• Participate in supervision and team meetings; contribute to language access initiatives.
