Job summary

CentrIA Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one to implement individualized intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills with evidence-based techniques.

Training is provided, and candidates must be compassionate, patient, and team-oriented. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, ability to stand, walk, sit, and perform varied positions.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors while ensuring child safety.
• Participate in comprehensive training to be prepared for the role.
