Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in a one-on-one setting under the guidance of a BCBA. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training so you are equipped to help each child, even without prior experience. The role involves physical activities and may require lifting up to 50 pounds. Salary ranges from $19 to $24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy to support children with autism.
• Ability to work well in a team and with BCBA supervision.
• 18+ years of age and meet background requirements.
• Hold a HS diploma or GED before onboarding.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB test.
• Background check required and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing behavior plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication and daily skills.
• Collaborate with BCBA and team for data collection and progress.
• Ensure safety during activities and transitions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
