Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism, working one-on-one under the guidance of a BCBA. You will implement individualized behavior intervention plans and help develop communication, social, and daily living skills.

Join a compassionate team; training is provided and you will contribute to meaningful outcomes for children and families. This role requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a TB test (within the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Fluent in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with BCBA and team to reduce interfering behaviors.
• Engage children actively and maintain safety during activities.
