Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to provide high levels of service to retail and installer customers. The role supports store management, promotes customer service programs, and involves both counter sales and courtesy interactions with customers.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with merchandise, handling cash and credit transactions, processing returns, and performing daily store operations. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call.
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
• Answer store calls, lookup parts, quote prices, and suggest related items.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer; process cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per company policies.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with image maker and planogram updates, stocking and cleaning.
• Perform daily operational tasks: returns to distribution center, stock adjustments, cycle counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Perform in-store services (install wipers, test batteries, scan codes, replace headlight capsules) where allowed.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
