Job summary

I Bankonline in Memphis, TN is seeking an entry-level Collections Specialist to join our Collection Team. You will initiate customer contact, assess delinquency, and negotiate repayment terms to bring accounts current.

You will adhere to Bank policies and FDCPA regulations while building relationships, utilizing skip-tracing as needed, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Entry level collectors experience required.
• Ability to type 30-35 wpm and multitask.
• High School diploma or GED required; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect automobile installment loan accounts 15-29 days past due.
• Utilize daily contact and skip-tracing efforts.
• Develop and maintain on-going customer relationships.
• Negotiate payment arrangements.
• Advise customers of their responsibilities under loan contracts and provide counseling on payment arrangements.
• Utilize effective negotiating skills and follow-up to cure delinquency.
• Understand and apply knowledge of credit bureau reports as relate to daily activities.
• Adhere to Fair Debt Collection Practices Act guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
