Job summary

Professional Financial Services (PFS) | Auto Finance in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage delinquent auto-loan accounts, negotiate feasible solutions, and protect the interests of the company while preserving customer relations.

You will own portfolios, make high-volume calls, document interactions, and collaborate with branches and partners to move accounts toward resolution, with occasional local visits and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of collections experience.
• Auto finance, consumer lending, or related collections experience preferred
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience managing a high-volume account queue
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities
• Collaborative approach to working with branch leadership, internal teams, dealers, and other partners
• Availability to work evenings and Saturdays as required by branch operations

Responsibilities

• Own your portfolio from delinquency through repossession referral and support.
• Make high-volume inbound and outbound calls to understand delinquency and discuss options.
• Establish payment arrangements within guidelines and follow up on commitments.
• Maintain accurate account records and document interactions and updates.
• Use skip-tracing and account research methods to locate customers and update contact information.
• Identify accounts for repossession consideration and advise Branch Manager.
• Collaborate with Branch Management, Remarketing, Insurance Claims, dealers, and internal teams to keep accounts moving.
• Provide backup administrative support and help maintain smooth branch operations.
