Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will lead the store team during the manager’s absence or opposing shifts, and ensure top service for retail and professional customers.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training
• Assistant Manager Certification
• RSS Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and ensure team execution of service programs
• Collaborate with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours
• Assist in hiring processes: recruiting tasks, interviews, and candidate evaluation
• Answer the telephone according to company policy
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub, and store-to-store transfers promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals
• Manage outside purchases and special orders efficiently
• Ensure returns, exchanges, and refunds are processed accurately and merchandise invoiced
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks
• Ensure adherence to work schedules and secure the store at opening/closing
• Perform opening/closing duties and day-end procedures
• Maintain store building, parking lot, signage, equipment, and vehicles
• All other duties as assigned
