Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, and operations. You will lead the team in serving customers and ensuring store standards during the manager’s absence or opposing shifts.

Qualifications

• Required certifications: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages is highly desired (Spanish preferred).
• Certified Parts Professional Certification and ASE Certification are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and execute programs like Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot.
• Work with the store manager to ensure the sales counter is staffed during peak hours (lunch, late afternoon, evenings, weekends).
• Assist the store manager in setting team goals, giving feedback, coaching, and ensuring staff training is up to date.
• Assist in recruiting tasks: interviewing and selecting qualified team members in collaboration with management.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders timely.
• Oversee returns, exchanges, refunds, and proper invoicing of merchandise.
• Ensure Zipline messages, Image Maker, and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed.
• Monitor adherence to posted schedules and clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures including securing money and deposits.
