Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. The role will lead the store team during absences and opposing shifts, ensuring outstanding customer service. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

The position focuses on coaching, hiring support, and ensuring efficient processing of orders, returns, and transfers, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must have Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team execution of customer service programs.
• Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends).
• Assist the store manager in setting team goals, giving feedback, coaching and ensuring training compliance.
• Assist in hiring by conducting interviews and coordinating with management to select qualified team members.
• Ensure calls and inquiries are answered per company policy and processing of orders and transfers is timely.
• Oversee returns, refunds, and exchanges, and ensure proper invoicing before shipment.
• Ensure messages are communicated and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed as assigned.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, money handling, deposits, and securing the store.
