Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking a Bike Technician to build, repair, and service bicycles while delivering an exceptional customer experience in the Bike Department. You will recommend products and promote warranties and loyalty programs, driving sales through engagement and knowledge.

Daily tasks include bicycle assembly, maintenance, and maintaining merchandise presentation. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and standing for extended periods in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience of building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair bikes according to established procedures.
• Provide passionate customer service and sell through customer engagement in the Bike Department.
• Promote warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty program, private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Assist with assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain presentation standards and signage to Company standards.
• Follow safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
