Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who can demonstrate a mature Christian faith and effective classroom presence. The role requires active participation in a local church and the ability to deliver LifeWise lessons with care and clarity.

You will implement provided lesson plans, maintain a safe classroom, follow discipline policies, and keep attendance records while coordinating with the lead teacher and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide attendance data to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador within the community and communicate lesson plans with volunteers.
