Job summary

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits is seeking a Sales Trainee to learn SGWS products, the industry, and consultative sales while supporting senior sales staff and the Area Sales Manager in servicing customers. You will train on account visits, build relationships, and identify growth opportunities to drive incremental sales across accounts.

You will preplan visits, analyze data to grow customer business, and maintain product knowledge to position SGWS offerings effectively.

Qualifications

• State Sales Permit required by state laws.
• Able to analyze and understand data and information.
• Able to leverage SGWS technology to perform duties and responsibilities.
• Able to build and structure customer presentations and product proposals.
• Proficient in using mobile devices and online communication (email, posting, texting).
• Able to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust.
• Preplan account visits with an agenda, service purpose, and selling opportunities.
• Discover and identify customer business growth needs.
• Develop a customer business growth plan for each account.
• Analyze data and insights to increase sales and grow customer business.
• Build a pipeline of selling opportunities to drive incremental sales above base business.
• Prioritize sales activities to achieve objectives based on growth plans.
• Visit accounts regularly, capture visit notes, and build visit plans.
• Maintain deep knowledge of SGWS products and present them effectively.
• Propose selling solutions using consultative selling skills.
• Achieve internal SGWS and supplier objectives as prioritized by management.
• Manage customer issue resolution and seek additional opportunities to support customer needs.
