Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits in Edwardsville, KS seeks a Sales Trainee to learn SGWS products, the beverage industry, and consultative sales. You will support more senior sales staff and the Area Sales Manager in servicing customers.

This role focuses on building relationships, planning account visits, identifying growth opportunities, creating growth plans, analyzing data, and maintaining accurate CRM records. You'll participate in meetings, trainings, and supplier events.

Qualifications

• Ability to secure and maintain a State Sales Permit in accordance with state laws.
• Able to analyze and understand data and information.
• Able to leverage SGWS technology to perform duties and responsibilities.
• Able to build and structure customer presentations and product proposals.
• Proficient in using mobile devices and online communication techniques in a professional manner.
• Able to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances.
• Able to communicate effectively and tailor messages to audience.
• Able to be nimble in ambiguity; embrace innovative ideas.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust.
• Preplan account visits with an agenda, service purpose, and selling opportunities.
• Discover and identify customer business growth needs.
• Develop a customer business growth plan for each account.
• Analyze data and insights to increase sales and grow customer business.
• Build a pipeline of selling opportunities to drive incremental sales.
• Maintain deep knowledge of SGWS products and position them in accounts.
• Document and maintain account information in the Proof CRM application.
• Participate in sales meetings, trainings, and supplier events.
