Job summary

Johnson Brothers, a leading family-owned distributor of wine, spirits and beer, seeks a Sales Consultant to service bar and restaurant accounts in Merrillville, IN. You will manage an established sales territory, perform selling, merchandising and servicing duties, and drive growth.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS or related experience, route sales background preferred, excellent communication, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS college degree or related industry experience.
• Prior route sales experience (highly preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Territory Management: ensure consistent customer contact and plan sales initiatives.
• Selling: understand products and pricing, make effective presentations, grow business, nurture new accounts.
• Merchandising: use POS to enhance selling efforts.
• Servicing: conduct sales calls, perform inventory checks, minimize order mistakes, rotate products properly.
• Administration: follow company policies and handle paperwork promptly.
