Job summary

Imperial Beverage, a Michigan beverage distributor, is seeking a proactive Account Manager to cover the Greater Lansing area. You will manage on-premise accounts, build relationships with bars, grocers, and restaurants, and drive sales with a passion for products you believe in.

The role entails daily field work, driving to multiple accounts, product placement, and collaboration with purchasers to optimize inventory and placement. Excellent communication and a drive to exceed goals are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Sales experience required; beverage sales experience preferred.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Must live in assigned market.
• Reliable vehicle and cell phone.
• Flexibility to work varying hours to accommodate customer needs and events.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with various types of people.
• Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license.
• Ability to lift/carry an average of 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Review sales route for the day using an iPad.
• Create a plan for each stop, including product samples and placement suggestions.
• Drive to accounts and greet the purchaser/manager.
• Demonstrate products and manage shelf rotation and backstock.
• Discuss replenishment and new product placement with purchasers/managers.
• Upload orders after visits.
• Repeat visits multiple times per day.
• Create a recap from each account to assist with next visits and inform merchandisers.
