Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Lexington, KY to grow the brand through service excellence and a distinctive beverage experience. You will support store operations, lead a sales-focused team, and ensure profitability while maintaining a welcoming environment for customers.

You will report to the Store Manager and be referred to internally as Assistant Manager, driving growth, improving product knowledge, and upholding store standards across daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role in a retail setting.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support day-to-day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving customer issues.
• Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and maintain a safe store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
