Job summary

Total Wine & More in Lexington seeks an Assistant Store Manager to grow the brand through best-in-class service and a distinctive beverage experience. You will lead store operations, drive sales, recruit and develop a sales-focused team, manage payroll and inventory, and ensure compliant, customer-centric service.

You will be referred to as Assistant Manager and report to the Store Manager, with responsibilities spanning vendor relations, scheduling, and staff development to maximize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of work experience, 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role in retail.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team, including ongoing development.
• Support day-to-day operations: payroll, inventory, merchandising, shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to laws/regulations related to alcohol sales and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
