Job summary

Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, AZ, seeks an events beverage assistant to support the Beverage Operations Manager for facility rental events, special events, and internal events that require beverage services. You will assist with bar setup, service, and back-up support for bartenders.

Responsibilities include administering custom menus, inventory control, POS troubleshooting, and supervision of contracted bartenders.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in food and beverage or related field.
• AZ Food Handlers card preferred; AZ DLLC Title 4 certification required; certification after hire if not present.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bar setup and service for events.
• Provide administrative support and manage custom menus.
• Observe Arizona liquor laws and regulations.
• Assist with training of bartenders and POS troubleshooting.
• Supervise contracted bartenders and coordinate with the vendor.
