HDR, Inc. invites engineers to join our Power Generation team to advance battery energy storage systems and renewable projects. You will work with cross-functional teams across civil, electrical, and software disciplines to deliver complete design packages for BESS initiatives.

The role emphasizes technical writing, project coordination, and collaboration with utilities and developers to enable reliable, sustainable energy solutions in multiple U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and PE license.
• Experience in the Power Market Sector, with a focus on BESS, power generation or renewables.
• Technical writing experience for specifications and reports.

Responsibilities

• Support grid-scale BESS projects including conceptual layouts and one-line diagrams.
• Develop electrical design plans, specs, and cost estimates at design milestones.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, F&LS, HV, SCADA/telecom, and geotechnical engineers.
• Prepare technical reports conveying BESS concepts, use-cases, and feasibility results.
• Support business development and project execution with clients and vendors.
