Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an electrical engineer to support battery energy storage and power generation projects across multiple locations, including Alabama. The role focuses on design, analysis, and documentation for BESS systems and integrates with civil, electrical, and control disciplines.

You will work with a team of engineers to develop construction-ready packages, perform technical writing, and engage with clients and vendors while traveling up to 10% to support projects and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• PE license recognized by licensing board.
• Experience in Power Market sector project execution.

Responsibilities

• Support BESS projects through conceptual layouts and construction packages.
• Evaluate energy storage technologies and support vendor selection.
• Develop design plans, specs, estimates, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, FLS, HV, SCADA, water, and geotechnical engineers.
