Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation invites qualified Electrical Staff Engineering Technician to support Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) design and modeling, focusing on electrical design drawings using Bentley MicroStation and related tools. You will develop 2D/3D deliverables, perform design calculations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, with lighting design using AGI32 preferred.

Hybrid/flexible schedule after 90 days may be offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate required.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Develops and modifies technical deliverables for engineering and design teams.
• Creates moderately complex design concepts using established practices.
• Uses CAD/BIM/3D tools to produce drawings and project deliverables.
• Provides technical guidance to other professionals and technicians.
• Applies BV standards, codes, and quality programs to deliverables.
• Ensures deliverables comply with project inputs and codes.
