Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for Battery Energy System Storage (BESS) facilities across our multi-site portfolio. This role combines technical leadership with staff management and client interaction in a hybrid work environment.

You will ensure design quality, schedule, and budgets while building strong relationships with clients and internal teams. A PE license and several years of experience in energy storage or related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• 5+ years related work experience.
• PE license in a US jurisdiction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical design for Battery Energy System Storage (BESS) facilities.
• Manage Electrical engineering staff on diverse and challenging projects across our portfolio of design services and EPC programs.
• Oversee Electrical design quality, budget, and schedule.
• Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers.
