Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an Electrical Staff Engineering Technician – BESS Designer/Modeler to support distributed infrastructure projects with 2D/3D deliverables using Bentley MicroStation and other tools. The role focuses on electrical system design for Battery Energy Storage Systems, including conduit, cable trays, grounding, and lighting considerations.

Preferred candidates have familiarity with AGI32 for lighting modeling and at least five years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate required.
• Associate degree in drafting/engineering design tech preferred.
• Typically 5+ years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify technical deliverables for engineering projects.
• Apply engineering principles to create moderately complex design concepts and deliverables.
• Use CAD/BIM/3D modeling tools to produce and maintain design drawings and documentation.
• Provide guidance to other professionals to ensure quality and consistency across outputs.
• Coordinate with design group personnel to exchange project information.
