Job summary
Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical Senior Engineering Technician for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects within the Power Providers Market Sector. The role focuses on electrical system design, conduit design, cable tray, grounding, and lighting, including high-quality 2D/3D deliverables using Bentley MicroStation and related tools.
You will support multidisciplinary teams, mentor technicians, ensure code compliance, and help manage budgets and schedules in an ESOP-owned
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology is required.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering Design Related Technology is preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
Responsibilities
- Functions as a senior engineering technician and design specialist.
- Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges.
- Creates, modifies, and maintains electrical drawings using CAD/BIM tools.
- Ensures deliverables comply with applicable codes and standards.
- Provides consultation and oversight to other technicians to ensure quality.
