Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a VDDS Staff Engineering Technician to support electrical design for Distributed Infrastructure and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role focuses on creating and modifying 2D/3D deliverables using Bentley MicroStation and other tools.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams, apply engineering principles, and ensure compliance with codes and BV standards. A diploma or associate degree in drafting or engineering design is preferred, and hybrid or flexible work

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Engineering Design or related field.
• Associates Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design preferred.
• Experience with electrical design and drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables.
• Create and modify electrical design drawings using CAD/BIM tools.
• Apply engineering principles to develop design concepts and solutions.
• Ensure deliverables comply with codes, standards and BV policies.
• Coordinate with design group and assist field activities as needed.
• Assist with project requirements and timelines.
