Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Technician - Mission Critical in Overland Park, KS. The role focuses on advanced design using Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation, supporting Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, and leading design teams within the VDDS group.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Drafting or engineering design tech required.
• Bachelor degree in engineering design tech preferred.
• Typically 11 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor.
• Uses CAD/BIM/3D modeling with standard procedures to create and modify drawings.
• Reviews deliverables for quality and ensures compliance with standards.
• Mentors other technicians and contributes to design guides and process improvements.

Education

Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology
