Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Construction Manager for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Georgia. This field-based role coordinates site construction activities, supports schedule execution, safety performance, cost control and quality outcomes while working with project teams and client representatives.

You will travel to project sites, develop staffing plans, mentor craft leads, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years construction supervisory experience.
• OSHA training and pre-employment checks required.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field construction activities for Substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Develop staffing plans, safety programs, and quality procedures.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and costs; report to management.
• Support design constructability reviews and risk assessments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client and subcontractors.
