Job summary

Overland Contracting, a Black & Veatch company, seeks a Site Manager to lead on-site construction and startup of battery storage systems in Georgia. You will direct the project staff, coordinate with the Owner and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule goals are met.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in construction management on large projects, with a Bachelor's degree preferred, and experience in battery storage or utility-scale electrical work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience on similar projects in construction management with a Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years experience with 3 years at superintendent level or above on large projects, or in construction management role on smaller projects without a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with battery energy storage system (BESS), renewable energy, utility-scale electrical, substation, or power generation construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs site construction and startup activities for battery storage systems (BESS).
• Leads the on-site project team, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Coordinates with Owner, subcontractors, and suppliers; manages change orders and field interfaces.
• Implements project controls, plans, and procedures; monitors progress and reporting.
