Job summary

Applied Systems is seeking a Benefits Manager to lead the design and delivery of benefits and wellness programs within the People Team, including AI-enabled systems to streamline operations.

You will oversee open enrollment, vendor coordination, and M&A benefit integrations, while building AI-assisted communications to boost awareness and utilization across employee platforms. The role emphasizes ERISA knowledge and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years in benefits administration.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional benefits initiatives end to end.
• Hands-on testing and administration of a benefits module within a major HRIS (UKG preferred).
• Knowledge of federal/state benefit regulations (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA).
• Experience managing benefits communications programs and employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage benefit and wellness programs aligned to total rewards philosophy, including open enrollment, vendor implementations, and M&A integrations.
• Create AI-assisted benefits communications and resources to drive awareness, engagement, and utilization across platforms.
• Govern benefits technology, including the HRIS benefit module, enrollment platform, and carrier feeds, and shape automation roadmap.
• Build analytics dashboards and share utilization data and benchmark insights for plan design and budget decisions.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, consultants, and administrators and monitor regulatory changes affecting plan administration.
