Job summary

University Health System- San Antonio is seeking a Benefits Representative to manage the administration of all employee insurance plans and assist participants with coverage options. You will collaborate with carriers and vendors to resolve issues and ensure accurate information and adherence to standards.

The role emphasizes courteous, timely, and accurate support across in-person, phone, and other channels, with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Two years HR experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of ERISA, Section 125/FSA, HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA preferred.
• PC/Windows; Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; PeopleSoft/HRIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers University Health insurance plans for employees, retirees and House Staff.
• Resolves coverage and claims issues with carriers, plan administrators and vendors.
• Provides courteous, timely and accurate support across in-person, phone and other channels.
