Job summary

University Health in San Antonio, TX seeks an HRIS Benefits Analyst to support HR administration with essential systems. You will design and maintain benefits data interfaces, test changes, and ensure data accuracy for internal and external requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in HR or related field, plus 3+ years administering or servicing insurance benefits, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, and strong PC skills including Excel, databases, and VLOOKUP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of three years’ recent experience administering or providing service for insurance benefits, COBRA and associated benefits is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of ERISA, Section 125/FSA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA is required.
• PC and Windows experience including spreadsheets, database management and word processing; VLOOKUP experience is highly preferred.

• Build queries in PeopleSoft.
• Validate data for vendor files.
• Run PeopleSoft and SQL reports.

Position Summary:

The HRIS Benefits Analyst researches, analyzes, designs, and maintains systems in support of Human Resources administration that are essential to the operations of University Health. Monitors Human Resources data information needs and designs new or modifies existing systems to meet the internal and external requirements. Must be thorough and accurate in testing and implementation of database changes.Participates in Human Resources projects, events, and activities as assigned.

Experience/Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field is required.

A minimum of three year’s recent experience administering or providing service for insurance benefits, COBRA and associated benefits is preferred.
