Job summary

Jobtailor in New York, NY, is seeking a Compensation Analyst to support Employee Benefits incentive programs, perform bonus calculations, and generate compensation statements that provide insights into sales performance and business results.

You will collaborate with Sales leadership and stakeholders to optimize compensation arrangements, resolve data issues with Commissions and vendors, and ensure data integrity in a regulated, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience using SQL, data analysis, and QA to support compensation or financial payments.
• Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders while delivering service and resolving complex issues.
• Excel proficiency with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset focused on process improvement.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and data integrity.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Employee/Group Benefits including compensation practices (preferred).
• Analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in regulated or data-driven compensation/finance ops (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support the design, review, and administration of Employee Benefits incentive compensation programs.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bonus calculations.
• Generate compensation statements and provide insights supporting sales performance and business results.
• Partner with Sales leadership to establish and optimize compensation arrangements.
• Collaborate with Commissions, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve data issues.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of commission transactions, invoices, and processes.
• Analyze and validate commission data, identify trends, research discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
• Conduct appointment reconciliations between internal systems and state regulatory records.
• Support setup and maintenance of broker and General Agency commission structures, hierarchies, payment scales, and in-force business management.
• Evaluate complex compensation and commission scenarios and recommend operational improvements.
