Job summary

The Butler County Board of DD is seeking an Benefits Administrator to manage comprehensive employee benefits programs at the Janes Clemmons Center in Hamilton, OH. The role includes enrollment, reconciliations, and education on plan designs, with regular liaison to JFS on Medicaid waivers.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree in business, and a valid driver’s license. Occasional travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in benefits administration, accounting, payroll, finance, or related area.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration or related field.

Responsibilities

• Administer all employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement-related benefits.
• Lead annual Open Enrollment with HRIS configuration, plan setup, testing, and employee communications.
• Manage benefit reconciliations, carrier invoices, payroll deductions, and vendor data feeds.
• Review qualifying life events and ensure eligibility, dates, and plan compliance.
• Provide employee education on benefit designs and prepare cost projections and analyses.
• Coordinate with JFS on Medicaid waiver eligibility and maintain related records.
• Liaise between Butler County Board of DD and Job and Family Services on issues.
• Support waiver individuals and teams to prevent Medicaid status loss.
• May travel to meeting sites to obtain and process required documents.
• Assist in in-service training and participate in committees.
