Job summary

Paychex in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Benefit Operations professional to coordinate daily administration and analysis of employee benefit programs. You will ensure data integrity across enrollment systems, HRIS, and vendor portals while supporting Benefits and Well-Being teams.

The role involves handling daily data feeds, invoicing, and resolving inquiries, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and cross-functional projects in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, management, System Operations, Health or Wellness, Math or finance.
• 1 year of experience in benefit and/or employee plan experience; familiar with benefit enrollment systems and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity of Benefit, Well-being and other Employee Programs and enrollment data across system of record, HRIS, and vendor portals.
• Support special projects and initiatives of Benefits and Well-Being Department.
• Oversee daily file feeds to health, welfare and well-being vendors and troubleshoot issues with vendors as needed.
• Create monthly benefit vendor invoices and administration payments with accuracy and timeliness.
• Answer first-level benefit and well-being inquiries via email, instant messaging, or phone.
• Manage New Hire Enrollment Status by running reports and contacting new hires for complete enrollment.
• Coordinate with Payroll to process retroactive deductions for missed benefits.
• Communicate and collect missed benefit payments for leaves of absence.
• Work with third-party vendors on dependent documentation administration.
• Provide assistance on court orders and government inquiries as needed.
• Run reports to monitor activity and identify opportunities for improvement.
