River Terrace Inn is seeking a friendly Bell Person to warmly greet guests on arrival and assist with luggage during check-in and check-out. You will promote hotel amenities and events, while providing a smooth first impression for guests in Napa.

Key duties include helping with transportation, answering inquiries, and offering a guided orientation to guests about services, hours, and concierge options. Strong English communication and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid California driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written, with strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure and remain composed in high-stress situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
• Friendly, courteous, engaging, and genuinely passionate about guest service.
• Able to follow instructions thoroughly and anticipate guest service needs.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with co-workers.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of guest and hotel-related information.
• Able to multitask and manage busy situations gracefully and efficiently.

The Inn provides Napa visitors with accommodations that feel like home while staying true to Wine Country’s chic, boutique aesthetic Our restaurant ALBA Bar & Cafe is open daily for breakfast, and small bites in the evening at the Bar. We also have (3) private rooms for banquets & catered events.

A day in the life ...

As a Bell Person, you will be responsible for warmly greeting all guests upon arrival. You will assist guests with their luggage promptly during both check-in and check-out. Additionally, you will promote all hotel amenities and events.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting guests with transportation needs, including hailing taxis, arranging Uber or other ride services.
• Answering guest inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
• Providing a brief orientation while escorting guests to their rooms, including information about:
  • Luggage storage areas
  • Restaurant hours and locations
  • Vending and ice machine locations
  • Concierge services and the evening’s scheduled event
  • Fit center and amenities
  • In-room equipment and emergency exit routes

Your role is vital in delivering a welcoming and informative first impression to our guests.
