Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Bell Person to set the tone for guest experiences by assisting arriving and departing guests with luggage, and delivering prompt, courteous service.

The role requires work in a fast-paced hotel environment with physical duties, including lifting and moving luggage. Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, are required, with prior hotel or retail customer service preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including dealing with difficult guests.
• Reading and writing abilities to complete departmental records and logs.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge all arriving guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Transport luggage to and from guest rooms.
• Secure, tag and store luggage at guest's request.
• Direct guests to appropriate hotel staff for assistance with questions and special requests regarding food, laundry, concierge services, or housekeeping.
• Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied guests.
• Promote hotel facilities, outlets, and services to guests and provide information to guests regarding local attractions and activities.
• Treat requests with professionalism, tact, and a courteous manner.
• Adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
