Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Behavioral Resource Technician (BRT) to join Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield, Massachusetts. The BRT provides safety observation, assists with activities of daily living, and works closely with the RN to deliver compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include de‑escalation, keeping the patient safe, and maintaining professional communication with the care team. This full-time position offers day shifts, 40 hours per week, and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant patient care experience.
• 2 years of experience working with behavioral health patients.
• GED or HiSET required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safety observation of patients and documents status every 15 minutes.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient care under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports safety hazards to the RN.
• Communicates with patients respectfully and maintains confidentiality.
• Assists with patient transport when needed.
